…a baby plan graduate that is! I met E.’s parents a little over a year ago when I photographed some beautiful maternity portraits for them. And then soon after that session I got to photograph tiny little E.’s newborn portraits and then her six and twelve month portraits. It was a pleasure working with this sweet family and I hope I get to photograph E. when she’s a little bigger too! Here are some of their portraits from the past year.

Happy Birthday to adorable E., who just graduated the RSP baby club! I fell in love with her at her first session when she was a tiny two month old, and from then on I always looked forward to our sessions. She just kept getting cuter and cuter. At her final baby plan session we did a cake smash and it was hilarious to watch- she dug in and literally was flinging cake everywhere with this humongous grin on her face…

Here are some of her portraits from over the past year … NY Baby photographer NY Baby photographer NY Baby photographerNY Baby photographer one year session baby girl NY Baby photographer cake smash NY Baby photographer NY Baby photographer NY Baby photographer NY Baby photographer

Although I have the patience to get happy expressions from even the hardest child, I didn’t need to work hard with this adorable three year old. We hit it off right away and his totally sweet and cheerful personality made my job really easy. Mom specifically wanted clean, classic, uncluttered portraits so thats the look we went for in the session. The focus goes directly to adorable E.

Since there were so many cute shots I made this little video of our session 🙂  Hope it makes you smile!

It’s that time of year again, when lots of turning  three-year-olds come to my studio for a super fun portrait session! ( I wouldn’t be surprised if, after the session, they ask their parents “can we go back to that crazy lady again? You know, the one who danced around with a puppet on her head roaring like a  lion”?)  This beautiful family chose to do a mini session before the haircut and a full family session afterwards, and I just love all the happy, natural shots we got.

Have an upsherin coming up? Call the studio at 917-750-3424 to discuss the portrait experience we can create for your little guy!

I’ve known the mom of this adorable princess since I was little- we grew up together and went to school together. So I was excited to get to photograph her new baby girl- and once I met her in person, I totally fell in love. She just has a classically cute face- gorgeous eyes with long, girly lashes, perfectly chubby cheeks, and an adorable grin! She was so well behaved even with all the headbands and outfit changes 🙂  baby girl portrait baby portrait girl NY Photography baby portrait girl NY Photography baby portrait girl NY Photography

As 2012 draws to a close, I’d like to share some of my favorite portraits with you. Now if I were to share all my favorites, the slideshow would have been an hour long, but I showed some restraint and just chose a small amount.

I’m incredibly thankful for the great year I’ve had and for how far my business has come. My goals for the coming year are to continue to learn and grow in my photography and to continue to create portraits that not only hold a spot on my client’s walls, but hold a spot in their hearts as well.  Wishing you all a happy New Year filled with continued success!

Whenever there is a toddler involved, things don’t always go the way you plan. So when I was photographing adorable M. and her two brothers, I knew I just had to follow her lead and go with the flow. Lots and lots of patience is key to getting what you want with toddlers, and in the end it paid off and we got the poses mom wanted. Her brothers were great and so crazy photogenic! Here are just a few faves.

To get this shot, all I had to do was tell them to look at each other and NOT laugh :)
